    Is there a setting to go to first unread message? Seems like it always sends meto the list and then they are in reverse order and then I have to change the
    order with the !, but that seems odd to me....

    I'll look into that one, but for a me a quick fix is to use the message number. If I want to view the first message in a list I press one and hit enter.
