I can remember the days when some BBS software on what are now "retro" systems defaulted to ~40 chars/line. I am not sure what it would look like if it got quoted a bunch of times in a reply thread, but the original and "first quoting" didn't break anything here.
Getting old sucks and sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

I ordered progressive glasses from an online place, and after a week or two of getting headaches and walking into walls I am now used to moving my head and not my eyes and voila, I can read all the time now! ;)

There is a new bbs running on an old apple ii, and old retro system is so user unfriendly.
