So last night, Adam brought a chick over. He of course wanted to do band practice, so he could show off to the girl. Which he did really bad. He kept asking her what she thought of the music, over and over. He got really drunk! He kicking trash, cups over by his drum set, setting them back up, and kicking them right back over. She kind of called him out on that hahaha. She was appalled, by how messy the fun house was. Well a little while later, she had to go to the bath room. Well....when she walked in she said, OKAY, and looked around. I could tell she was like omg what's up with all this trash all over the place. I texted him about 10:00 am today, and he didn't text back. Guess what? when I got home at around 4, the dude was still in the bed. That's what you call a hang over hahaha. Who gets so drunk that they have to sleep until 4? Well I bet he is still sleeping right now! I woke him up, but I think he just went back to sleep. What do you think the problem is? Do you think he has some serious issues upstairs going on? Crazy how he got that drunk on a Monday night. He hasn't worked in two weeks. He was bragging, like always, yesterday. He was smirking talking about how much money he makes his company. Then proceeded to tell me he felt like he couldn't fail. Everything he does turns to gold. Yet I come home from work on a tues. and he is still in the bed at 4. His antics are going to catch up with him, sooner than later.....It is very annoying.

I could see people acting like that in their early 20's when they don't
know better, but much later in life than that and well they should have
enough experience that this doesn't make for a good outcome in general.
I don't consider myself at 45 an old man yet, but I do try to learn from
miss steps I make in my life.
My son might disagree with me about me being an old manthough, but he's
    got a couple of points.
I do have some balding and I do hang out with old men when it comes to
    ham radio activities.

We are both 42....he gets plastered daily....even first thing in the morning...If he wakes up at 9 on the weekend, he starts drinking immediately..If he doesn't he gets the shakes and stuff.

He seriously needs to consider some help.
Once drinking effects someone's physical health like that they need to
go and get both medical and mental attention.
You don't want it to get to where they have to hook up a tube and drain
fluid buildup off of your liver into a bottle.
Try to talk to the guy before it is too late.
Tell him you are not trying to judge him, its that you don't want him to
    die way before he should.
This process may take more than one intervention to work out.
He's got a complex illness that can be treated.

ohh he would take offense to it. He needs an intervention or something. I mean from what I gathered if you are shaking like that right after waking up, by lunch time you would have seizures. I asked ai about it, and basically there is no way he is making it for an 8 hour day without drinking. I think he drinks at work, he claims he doesn't. I just don't believe him. I don't want him to get fired, or have sever medical issues. I don't know how to talk to him about it.

He told me today, is going to back down on it until it's safe to quit. I am glad he admits he has a problem. I don't think he can do it, without a doctor though.

Stopping the drinking on his own once he's become dependant won't be
    easy.
He may need some meds to help him with the withdrawl process.

I agree, I don't think he can do it without help. He told me today he was done with drinking...yet he still has to drink or he will go into detox
