Wow, nobody has posted on Hobby-Space for a few days. I was hoping this could stay more active. I hope it picks back up. We have 6 boards connecting to it now.

My posting just depends on things... I'm a bit more of a lurker and continuing to work on my board and future plans (and argue with MRO on Dove-Net). Often I have ideas but never post things because I feel like it may be a wasted attempt at conversation.

Got a few things I may want to post about and start discussions on if I don't forget -- that's another thing, I often have ideas at work and then by the end of the day am too damn tired to even type about them haha.

You can post your ideas here! We will consider them, and will not argue with you either lol.

Can you write java script and draw good ansi? I cannot do either good lol. What kind of plans do you have for your board, as far as mods go?

Oh, you argue with MRO? I left that alone, along time ago. He gets these people to start bashing, whoever and harassing them. I call them his flying monkeys! What do you argue with him about?

So you like the ansi ad I did?

Can't code for crap, but I'm willing to work with AI tools and good documentation to learn. I'm quite good at tweaking existing code, for what that's worth, to get a job done.

Not much of a plan on functional mods, although I do wish to create door programs and maybe a ZZT game or 2 now that there is a native SBBS version of that game engine.

Mainly tweaking msg files, but as I learn more I might go deep in customizing things. ;)

Political crap. I actually stand up against his BS now, and it seems to get under his skin. :)

Sir I was not talkin' about you or anyone in particular lol. The chat got real quiet and I sat there for a bit felt awkward, so I went next door, and played guitar.

Actually, I was monitoring FidoNet & Hobby-Net, and of course Hobby-Space, over the weekend and things were a little slow everywhere. Someone has to be a topic starter and it seems sysops tend to be that when posts are down from regular users. You have been very good at that. Check out Hobby-Net and you'll see Mikes start a lot of topics and try's to engage folks all the time. Just keep doing what you'll doing and folks will join in :)

I am trying really hard, but only get engaged with comments, maybe 40 percent of the time.

It's just like that everywhere as far as messaging areas go. It's weird because back when I started BBSing in the 80s, that's all there was. FidoNet and local BBS message bases.

On my BBS, the only people who message are me and the other Staff members in the Staff Forum.

I can certainly understand the frustration.

I used to post on your message network until I found out, the Sysop for penalty box was moderator lol. Either way both message network types are kind of pieced together. Kind of janky lol.
