    Funny I was just in here before to start posting and then had to run. I uploaded several recent tunes I co-wrote with me playing guitar a few days ago. Figuring out a way to direct folks to the transfer area. To bad we can't attached files to posts - or can we?

    If I put a file in my ctrl dir, it will share it with everyone. So, I am not sure if it goes both ways.

    Since Hobby-Space QWK could be on many systems, I not sure about how we all feel about advertising another system to join to gain access to files like mine, or others. We all want users but not necessarily from stealing from you, the HQ of Hobby-Space; if you know what I mean. Just trying to respect the whole process. Posting a web link, or Google Drive link would be so easy, but it negates the whole reason why we are running BBSes in the first place - right?

    "Hey everyone come to my place for cool music files" - is exactly what I don't think would be right.

    Sometimes practicality wins. Consider the fact the BBS scene adapted to using TCP/IP.

    That being said, it is my understanding QWK mail (user@bbid) supports file transfer, since it's just an attachment. QWK is just a zipped bundle of messages after all, whatever they may contain. :)

    The only links I ever posted on here was Youtube links, and I would post a redit link. I am not big on it doing it. I don't have a problem with it either way. You're in it just as me, so how about you make the call, sir. :)

    Yup, you can send files with it. I Jimmy rigged B.R.E, the door game to do inter-bbs gaming through qwk network, on my last bbs.

    If you make a directory of the bbs quick name you want a file to go to, it will send it. Like it has to be the qwk account username. It can send any file. Put them up however you'd like. I can make a script file to copy stuff you send via qwk network to a file area on my bbs. I can't believe you like my guitar tone. It's nothing special at all. I tune in drop c, so that might be what you like about it. I hope you liked my music. It's not all about shredding, but timing of the riffs, and trying to mix a catchy radio sound mixed with heavy metal. I try to make the timing of the riffs stick out, When you lack skill like me, you have to be really creative. So I use timing to make it stick out.
