I'm thinking of running my BBS on Windows Server Standard 2022 instead of what I am now, Windows 10 LTSC. BTW - The machine I have in mind can't run Server 2025, or Win 11, but is 4 years newer than what I use now and swift.

Anyone running their SBBS's on Win Server 2022 and what's the benefit(s) you see?

Also thinking of running the BBS over Wifi 6. Any drawbacks to that?

    Thanks!

No draw backs, faster speeds. As far as an older os, I don't see why not. You would probably fair better with an older os, the doors might run correctly lol.

As far as I know I don't think there's anything you'll gain by running Synchronet on a newer os.
Other than running the bbs in some sort of docker setup I don't know if you'd gain anything.

I concur. If your going to upgrade, might as well go the newest so those vulnerabilities get fixed.
