I am writing on this sub-board, and logged into your system, because it seems something is happening with the QWK network and none of my messages are appearing on your system that originated from mine, although my system is reporting it is getting to HobbySpace and tossing it to you. It’s possible it’s happening on other systems in the QWK network as well, but I can’t verify that.

I sent a few private emails to, you logged into your system, that probably didn’t get to you because I literally have nothing in my sent folder.

I also posted some ideas on how to fix your SSL on my system that I don’t think you ever saw yet.

I also offered to help fix the SSL using TeamViewer, and talking with ya in the phone, that you probably didn’t get.

When my SSL was down, it affected a lot of things, even inbound SMTP mail since the mail servers can’t connect securely. However, I am receiving posts from your system over the QWK to mine, but when I reply from my system you don’t see them.

Let me know if I can be of any help. We can schedule time for me to TeamViewer over, or we can just go back and forth on this sub.

If you call me on like a friday evening, I'm always free. I just don't come in this house right now, because of summer heat. He has no A.C and it's brutal in here. I stay next door, there is a little window unit. I can't get on my pc over there, because wifi-doesn't reach.

I think this will work, and it's worth a try. Regardless of why it stopped working it might be easier to just start over than to keep trying to figure out what went wrong. I had a similar problem and went crazy trying to fix it and the easiest, and fastest solution, was just to start over. You have nothing to lose and you can simply put your old file back into place.

1) Back up your "letsyncrypt.ini" file located in your SBBS\CTRL folder. Maybe copy to your desktop and label it backup or something.

2) Download this file ( https://tinyurl.com/3e4jyr8d )and overwrite your existing letsyncrypt.ini file. It's a virgin file with the TOS agreed to.

3) Execute the LetSyncrypt script in the CTRL folder by typing "jsexec letsyncrypt.js"

For me, it made a new SSL cert & account for my system and has been working fine ever since.

If it doesn't work, put your original .ini file in and keep troubleshooting.

I think you really need to fix the SSL because I believe it's really affected the QWK, and possibly other SSL type services on your system. it broke a lot of things on my BBS for sure having it down.

I have so many issues with this install of synchronet. I will probably end up having to start from scratch. Most of my mods aren't in the right place...ect. I don't even know where to start. It's a lot of work, and my depression is getting worse, my life situation is getting worse, everything is falling apart. Please be patient my friend. I need to get my mental health issue solved first. That's the first thing on the agenda this week. I am going to switch my primary care doctor to the one my mom uses. I hope this works, because this is my final and last push to fix things with my life, including the bbs. I have to get on the right medication asap, or it's not going to be good dude. Please keep me in your thoughts, because if this doctor doesn't play ball, and gives me the run around, it's going to go down fast. If this doesn't get addressed this week, and she isn't on top of things, I do not know how much longer I'm going to even be around.

I explained earlier that the house I'm staying in during the summer is over 100 degrees inside, with no a.c. I can't bare working on anything pc related in a house like that. Once fall comes along, I will be able to fix all this stuff with the bbs. Right now it's just me trying to maintain the system, until I am able to stand being in this house for more than a few minutes. Would you be able to do anything on your bbs if your house was over 100 degrees? Even at night it's above 95 in here. The only reason, I am on here now is because of this small cold front. Expect a bunch of stuff to happen when the weather cools off. That is if, this new doctor I'm going to try will be serious about getting my mental health in to shape. I have been trying since my 30's to get things right with this mental issue. Imagine fighting something your whole life that is mentally debilitating. It's like dealing with a family member dying on a daily basis. I have severe adhd, and it's leading to deep depression. I was taking anti-depressants and it wasn't working. I researched and found out that treating the symptoms of adhd and not the illness doesn't really help. My doctors have always gave me the run around. I have been fighting this too long my friend. I am getting tired of fighting, and the harder I put up a fight. The further behind I get. So if this doctor doesn't doe something asap, I will have to permanently fix the issue myself. So let's stay positive and hope she does the right thing. It's getting serious man.

I am so sorry to hear you are dealing with this. Please remember that your health and well-being are the absolute highest priority. The BBS can certainly be put on hold while you focus on taking care of yourself. Hopefully, your new primary care physician will be able to provide the exact treatment you need. Additionally, you might consider reaching out to a therapist; they can be highly effective in providing an accurate diagnosis and tailored support.

I really don't want to be in it to be honest. That doctor kind of sucked, she was reluctant to help me out. She gave me wellbutrin. It's not what I need so in six weeks I'll be telling her to change it, maybe sooner if I can.
