  • ask.com is closed

    I was in the terminal and needed to do a quick search. I opened lynx and went to ask.com, because google doesn't support lynx anymore. Found out, ask.com has closed down. After thirty or so years, an early pioneer of the internet, no longer let's us ask questions anymore. I am deeply saddened by this. Big tech. is erasing the small guys. Big tech. doesn't want the little guys to exist. They don't like the competition, and use their buying power cripple every company they can.
    How do you guys feel about ask.com closing? I don't use it for every search, but I do use it. Especially now that google and lynx do not get along anymore.

    Not sure if I ever used asked.com. I remember when google was invite only tho :D

    Ask.com was a lot like google's ai. It would answer questions instead of just giving you search results. I really enjoyed using it. I used it fairly often. Google doesn't like lynx, but ask.com did.
